GLASS PROCESSING
Cutting - we can cut glass by individual order. Max glass size - 2750 x 3210 mm, glass thickness - 2 - 19 mm. Shape cutting - operation during which the figure is cut from glass by the help of the given template or the work drawings.
Blunting - a technological grinding of glass edges, so that they become blunted.
Grinding – rough edge processing by making it matted. Glass thickness must be 3 to 19mm to be grinded. It is posible to choose from two kinds of grinding:

Trapezium |
C edge |
Trapezium grinding - is a rough machine-tool edge processing during which the edges of the glass are shaped into trapezium type- form. Smallest possible size of product is 50x50 mm.
C edge grinding - is a rough machine-tool edge processing during which the edges of the glass are shaped into semicircular type- form (type “C”). Smallest possible size of product is 110x110 mm.
Polishing - clearing of grinded edge. Polishing is double operation, it consists from processes of grinding and polishing. Glass thickness must be 3 to 19mm to be grinded. It is posible to choose from three kinds of grinding:

Beveling - Beveled glass is usually made by taking thick glass and creating an angled surface cut (bevel) around the entire periphery. Bevels act as prisms in the sunlight creating an interesting color diffraction. It depends from glass thickness what maximum whide beveled edge it can get: 3mm glass - 15mm, 4mm glass - 35mm, 5mm and thicker glass - up to 40mm beveled edge. Edge can be beveled with 45 degree angle. We can also bevel bouth sides of the glass. Smallest possible size of product is 50x50 mm.
Drilling - is an operation to drill holes in glass (cylindrical and / or cone-shaped). Drilling is carried out on both sides simultaneously, thus the edges of the holes are not shattered or cracked. Diameter of the hole may be from 5 to 100mm in size. If bigger size is necessary then hole milling operation is used.
Milling - is an operation to cut various shapes hole.
Engraving. It is a process of glass decoration during which the surface of the glass is engraved mechanically. You may choose engraving from the variety of samples of JSC Stiklita. We are also always ready to engrave any type of Your glass according to Your wish.
Matting. This is a process during which the matted glass is produced by subjecting the glass surface to the “bombing” with particles of aluminium oxide by using pressurised air. The process is automatic and computer is used for its control. The maximal height of the matted glass is 2000 mm. The glass surface may be matted evenly or, if necessary, only particular sections of the glass surface may be matted to create a desired pattern.
Painting. During painting process the surface of the glass is covered with a special lacquer. The desired matted effect may be achieved by using appropriate type of lacquer and application technique. We offer a wide range of colours and designs to select from.
Glass processing by making pits.
Glass processing by making UV gluing. This is a process during which the glass is glued with glass, metal or ceramics by using special transparent glue that reacts to UV rays. The glued seam is invisible and the strength of the seam is larger than that of the glass.
Tempering. The tempering is used to increase the strength of the glass. The strength of a tempered glass is 10 times higher than the strength of untempered glass. Furthermore, the tempered glass is safer, because it brakes into small fragments without causing injury. The tempered glass is used in production of glass doors, partitions, glass tables, and glass floor.
